Class Pictures 2015
April 9 & 10, 2015 at the Senior Center in Pasco, WA
Paul Jones, a founding member of this club, taught a 6 hour class on carving the American Indian face. Ten students, including 3 chainsaw carving ruffians, attended and carved cottonwood bark under Paul's instruction. Paul was great! We were slow :( So slow that Paul has agreed to meet with us again next Thursday to help complete our carvings.
Photos from the Friday session as well as some of the "go-by" pieces Paul brought for us to use.

Paul Jones Class FULL
Indian Face Carving Class!
Arrangements have been made and the class is full. Even the "Three Sawyers" (chainsaw carvers from this years show) are coming to learn about traditional tools from Master Paul!
Many of you have the VHS tape of Pauls 1996 "Adventures in Carving" video. In the video, Paul makes a beautiful Native carving from cottonwood bark while carefully describing every step of the process. Since that time, Paul has tweaked and improved his technique to create even more amazing bark carvings.
This class is at the Pasco Senior Center. A future class is planned for Kennewick.
