Tri-Cities Woodcarvers was represented at the Art Walk & Wine Gala in Prosser, WA on 20 July 2013. A truck load of carvings were displayed in the shade of a small canopy. AND IT WAS HOT!
It was so hot that wine vendors were resting their feet on ice they'd set on the asphalt. The water evaporated as quickly as the ice melted and the only puddles remaining were of melted tar on the street. "You should have been there." as they say... I would have enjoyed to stand in your shadow ;-)
Attendance was good but, as one would imagine, patrons at a 'wine gala' are there to taste wine and 'look at' art. Not to buy.
